I would like to say that educating children has been my passion since I was a child. To be able to support young minds and watch them flourish has given me the motivation to become a tutor, as I am able to place the child right at the centre of learning. I like to call this, the 'holistic' approach.

​

Private tuition on a one-to-one basis can be the most productive way to learn. Private tuition can be used to stretch your child further or give closer attention to the needs of your child than is possible in a classroom environment.

I gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Childhood Studies, which prepared me for Post-Graduate study. This course provide me with excellent training both within the school environment and Continuing Professional Development courses. I therefore completed my PGCE at Distinction level.

​

Since then I have spent one year as a year 1 teacher, and one year as a year 3 teacher at a local primary school. I have an excellent understanding of the curriculum, and how to challenge children who require higher level thinking, and support those who could benefit a slower paced learning.

I have spent this current year as a Year 3 teacher. Again, I have an excellent understanding of the requirements of the new curriculum, and have good evidence of increased academic achievement for all pupils.

Moving forward I hope to continue to provide excellent teaching to children of all ages and abilities. My holistic approach and thorough undertsanding of children's overall development allows me to provide tuition where the child, really is at the centre of learning. I believe this is the best way to learn.
